Lisa's Ironman Triathlon Challenge

Lynne's daughter Lisa will be competing in the Port Macquarie Ironman Triathlon in March, trying to raise $10,000 for the foundation. See Lisa's story below:

5 years ago my Mum, Lynne King, issued me with a challenge to complete a full Ironman distance triathlon. At the time she had no idea of the massive distances that it involved or that she wouldn't live long enough to see me commit to it, let alone to complete it. 

In memory of my Mum, and in order to raise much needed funds for the Lynne King Cancer Care Foundation, I have entered the Port Macquarie Ironman triathlon and have committed to swimming 3.8km, cycling 180km and running 42.2km on 28 March 2010. I have never even contemplated anything of this magnitude before and will be relying on my Mum's strength and the support of my family and friends to get me to the finish line.
