Official Launch

The Foundation held its official launch, a formal dinner on the 7th March 2009, the 4th anniversary of Lynne's passing. Invitees included community based organisations and corporate businesses as well as members of the Westmead hospital and family and friends.

The launch included various fundraising activities to raise money to further the work of the Foundation. A special guest appearance was made by none other than KHAMAL who so generously donated his services for the night.

The funds provided from the night are already being put to good use. Our most recent case involved a 63 year old woman with a brain tumour who wanted to live out the remainder of her life in her own home. However, she needed some medical equipment at home before the hospital could release her. She had neither the finances nor the social network to provide this equipment. Thanks in no small part to your generosity she is now realising her final wish in familiar surroundings.

We would like to thank all those that not only attended but donated money, prizes and their time. We are already planning next years event so make sure you add a reminder to your diary for next March!
